In the 20th minute, Vladimir Carvalho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oséias Botelho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júlio Paranaense got free with Kauã de Amorim in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26thth minute of the game Raí Souto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Curtume AD's Oséias Botelho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Raí Souto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brecha's supporters rose to their feet, but Raí Souto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oséias Botelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Curtume AD's zone, Raí Souto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oséias Botelho came out of the goal and Raí Souto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Curtume AD! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Conrado Paiva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oséias Botelho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. 79 minutes into the match, Brecha's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Amaral came free, but Kauã de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Ricardo Amaral made a precise shot to the right of Kauã de Amorim. Brecha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Oséias Botelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raí Souto in the 96th minute of the match. The supporters of Brecha booed when Curtume AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Paranaense didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Brecha could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Curtume AD throughout the match.
