Mateira AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Curtume AD the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Conrado Paiva in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Válbson das Neves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Conrado Paiva in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Válbson das Neves saved Mateira AD from getting behind. Wilian Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mateira AD's Válbson das Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Paiva in the 17th minute of play. If Conrado Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Paiva in the 21st minute of play forced Mateira AD's goalkeeper Válbson das Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Conrado Paiva made a precise shot to the right of Válbson das Neves. Mateira AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The supporters of Curtume AD booed when Mateira AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauro Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mateira AD's zone, Conrado Paiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Válbson das Neves came out of the goal and Conrado Paiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Mateira AD defense, Júlio Paranaense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Válbson das Neves. The Mateira AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Válbson das Neves should have stopped the shot. If Wilian Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Paiva in the 37th minute of play forced Mateira AD's goalkeeper Válbson das Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conrado Paiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Simão Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dalmo Prata to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Conrado Paiva recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Válbson das Neves. Conrado Paiva showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in Mateira AD's zone, Conrado Paiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. When Conrado Paiva came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Curtume AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conrado Paiva couldn't finish the play. Válbson das Neves was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Conrado Paiva showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 68 minute of play. With an all-out effort, Curtume AD's Válbson das Neves threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Conrado Paiva, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Válbson das Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Paiva in the 75th minute of the match. Wilian Nascimento in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Válbson das Neves, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Curtume AD booed when Mateira AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmo Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute Conrado Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válbson das Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84thth minute of the game Conrado Paiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mateira AD's Válbson das Neves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Wilian Nascimento recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Válbson das Neves. Wilian Nascimento showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. Lauro Sousa's late challenge caught a Curtume AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lauro Sousa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th minute, Lauro Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Conrado Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Válbson das Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mateira AD's goalkeeper Válbson das Neves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 97th minute, Conrado Paiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Curtume AD's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
