A collision led to Geremoabo SC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Andrézinho Correia hit a great ball. Décio dos Santos was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Sílvio Pitta capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sílvio Pitta really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Maurinho Tasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maurinho Tasso succeeded in the game's 29th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Gilberto Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexsandro Velasco in the 35th minute of play. Sílvio Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Décio dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geremoabo SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurinho Tasso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 45 minutes, Delfim Ferraz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Décio dos Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurinho Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Décio dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurinho Tasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexsandro Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adhemar Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Maurinho Tasso scored 4-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Décio dos Santos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Sílvio Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Sílvio Pitta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Décio dos Santos was relentless in the 84th minute of the game.
