After a defensive mix-up in Maruai AD's zone, Luís Fabiano Magalhães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agostinho Amaral came out of the goal and Luís Fabiano Magalhães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Lenílson Koehler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maruai AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Lenílson Koehler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anselmo Jacinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Lenílson Koehler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anselmo Jacinto was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Rubinho Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maruai AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Rubinho Quintal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anselmo Jacinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Agostinho Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breno Cardozo in the 16th minute of the match. After 17 minutes, Oswaldo Sena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maruai AD and the Ascurra SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 17 played minutes Maruai AD got a freekick which was hit by Oswaldo Sena. In the 21st minute, Maruai AD's Rubinho Quintal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Anselmo Jacinto. Anselmo Jacinto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Jarbas Nunes struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Agostinho Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ascurra SC. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Lenílson Koehler took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Anselmo Jacinto to make any attempt to save it. Anselmo Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lenílson Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Anselmo Jacinto came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Maruai AD's Lenílson Koehler. But to his dismay, Lenílson Koehler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The audience was convinced that Lenílson Koehler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anselmo Jacinto was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. If Rubinho Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oswaldo Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The wind increased when Lenílson Koehler made the kick off in the second half. When Oswaldo Sena came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Maruai AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oswaldo Sena couldn't finish the play. 63 minutes into the match, Maruai AD's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fabiano Magalhães came free, but Agostinho Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Maruai AD booed when Ascurra SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute André Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ascurra SC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Tales Brodel hit a great ball. Lenílson Koehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rubinho Quintal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anselmo Jacinto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Anselmo Jacinto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lenílson Koehler went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. Lenílson Koehler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Jacinto having to interfere.
