After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Amauri Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inhata's supporters rose to their feet, but Amauri Tande was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matías do Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute Amauri Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matías do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Elias Paulista fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lauro Tavares, passed just outside the right post. Inhata's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Elias Paulista scored to the left of an out of position Lauro Tavares, making the score, 2-0. A collision led to Posses SS getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Fábio França hit a great ball. Inhata's Lauro Tavares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Inhata from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elias Paulista to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Marcus Nascimento's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lauro Tavares was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Inhata's Nilton Pirani got his second yellow card of the match in the 52nd minute. The referee ordered Nilton Pirani off the ground. In the 65th minute, Basílio Fontes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lauro Tavares was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Marcus Nascimento might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lauro Tavares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcus Nascimento ran back to his position shaking his head. After 75 played minutes Inhata got a freekick which was hit by Jerônimo Maciel.
