Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zelandia's goalkeeper Edinho Cordeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Australopitecos's Luís Guilherme Castro got control of the ball when Vito Cardoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Adilson Trigo came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Australopitecos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adilson Trigo couldn't finish the play. Edinho Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luan Sarmento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Australopitecos's Luís Guilherme Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Baiano in the 23rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dorival Melo during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edinho Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wiliam Pernambucano in the 31st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiliam Pernambucano in the 33rd minute of play forced Zelandia's goalkeeper Edinho Cordeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Wiliam Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edinho Cordeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adilson Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Adilson Trigo might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edinho Cordeiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adilson Trigo ran back to his position shaking his head. Edinho Cordeiro came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Australopitecos's Wiliam Pernambucano. But to his dismay, Wiliam Pernambucano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 46 minutes, Giuseppe Sanches mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Australopitecos and the Zelandia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Australopitecos's Giuseppe Sanches got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edson Baiano was the one to do the kick off. Orlando Souto kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Adilson Trigo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edinho Cordeiro was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. In the 63rdth minute of the game Adilson Trigo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zelandia's Edinho Cordeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Australopitecos's Luís Guilherme Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Cardoso in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zelandia's goalkeeper Edinho Cordeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Edson Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vito Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Reginaldo Silveira hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Wiliam Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Edinho Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Australopitecos's Adilson Trigo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Australopitecos's zone, Edson Baiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Guilherme Castro came out of the goal and Edson Baiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dorival Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edinho Cordeiro having to interfere. Australopitecos played a much better game than Zelandia and deserved their victory. The Zelandia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
