Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gláuber Azevedo took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 6 minutes, Luís Paulo de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nilopolís Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Paulo de Amorim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Haroldo Vidal came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Nilopolís Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo Vidal couldn't finish the play. In the 9thth minute of the game Luís Paulo de Amorim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Miguel's Jorginho Figueiredo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luís Paulo de Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Jorginho Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luís Paulo de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Haroldo Vidal scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorginho Figueiredo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Paulo de Amorim in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorginho Figueiredo saved Miguel from getting behind. Sidney Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gláuber Azevedo in the 21st minute of play. Haroldo Vidal hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Luís Paulo de Amorim sped through Miguel's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jorginho Figueiredo. Sidney Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélio Amaral in the 32nd minute of play. When Miguel's Gláuber Azevedo in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nilopolís Futebol Clube's goalie prevented a goal. In the 37th minute Luís Paulo de Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Baltazar Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sidney Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Valladares in the 41st minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, Luís Paulo de Amorim notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Miguel's Jorginho Figueiredo. Jorginho Figueiredo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Paulo de Amorim made a kick off. Sidney Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gláuber Azevedo in the 56th minute of the match. Nilopolís Futebol Clube's Sidney Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélio Amaral in the 57th minute of play. Sidney Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Valladares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 64 played minutes Miguel got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Valladares. Zacarias Paes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorginho Figueiredo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Luís Paulo de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Figueiredo having to interfere. When Gláuber Azevedo fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Miguel's protests and gave Gláuber Azevedo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Nilopolís Futebol Clube booed when Miguel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gláuber Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Paulo de Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Paulo de Amorim received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jorginho Figueiredo came out and tried to block the shot, but Luís Paulo de Amorim slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute Baltazar Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidney Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 82 minutes on the clock, Nestor Vasconcelos commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 83 played minutes Nilopolís Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Vasconcelos. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Zacarias Paes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nilopolís Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Zacarias Paes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorginho Figueiredo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 88 minutes into the match, Nilopolís Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Hélio Amaral came free, but Sidney Lira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sidney Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gláuber Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Nilopolís Futebol Clube's Ademir Velloso got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 96th minute of the match Fabinho Félix sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sidney Lira skillfully saved the ball. Sidney Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gláuber Azevedo in the 98th minute of the match. The Nilopolís Futebol Clube players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
