The referee ignored Old Player's protests and gave Matheus Cavalcante a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Old Player getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Matheus Cavalcante hit a great ball. Old Player's Luiz Fabiano Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Vergílio in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Old Player's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Sena came free, but Luiz Fabiano Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Fabiano Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Sena in the 7th minute of play. A hard shot 10 in the game by Samuel Pires from a close distance when the talented Dieguinho Eger managed to make a qualified save. Andorinha AD's players were relieved. Old Player's Luiz Fabiano Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Vergílio in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Téo Vergílio in the 19th minute of play forced Old Player's goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Andorinha AD getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Eduardo Sena hit a great ball. If Samuel Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Sena in the 36th minute of play forced Old Player's goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Old Player's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Sena came free, but Luiz Fabiano Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Old Player's Celsinho Dracena ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dieguinho Eger. Andorinha AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Old Player the free kick. A collision led to Andorinha AD getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Reynaldo Furtado hit a great ball. Dieguinho Eger was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jarbas Eger showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 48 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuel Pires to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Old Player was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorginho Velasco to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Fabiano Leite was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Wágner Saraiva. Old Player's Luiz Fabiano Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Sergipano in the 55th minute of play. Reynaldo Furtado made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Old Player's Jorginho Velasco. After 58 played minutes, Old Player's Matheus Cavalcante shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dieguinho Eger came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Old Player reached it. 62 minutes into the match, Andorinha AD's Eduardo Sena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Fabiano Leite narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jarbas Eger made in the 64th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Andorinha AD's Gustavo Sergipano. Luiz Fabiano Leite made an important save on a dangerous shot by Téo Vergílio in the 67th minute. Téo Vergílio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Samuel Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Old Player's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuel Pires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dieguinho Eger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Samuel Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dieguinho Eger having to interfere. Téo Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Luiz Fabiano Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dieguinho Eger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute Eduardo Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fabiano Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Old Player booed when Andorinha AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Téo Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Téo Vergílio got free with Luiz Fabiano Leite in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luiz Fabiano Leite didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Téo Vergílio went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Old Player were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Andorinha AD for a fine match.
