Felippe Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luís Porto having to interfere. Felippe Freire struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Pedro Luís Porto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Acaa. Leopoldo Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Felippe Freire left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Acaa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 30th match minute, Acaa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lenílson Messias to maneuver through the defense. If Adhemar da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Acaa's Claudinho Coelho got control of the ball when Gilberto Almeida tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedro Luís Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felippe Freire in the 36th minute of the match. Leonardo Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Pedro Luís Porto came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Acaa's Leopoldo Batista. But to his dismay, Leopoldo Batista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Felippe Freire made the kick off in the second half. Leopoldo Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Pedro Luís Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinho Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Acaa defense, Gilberto Almeida kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudinho Coelho. The Acaa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudinho Coelho should have stopped the shot. In the 64th minute, Adhemar da Silveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ipiranga Petroleo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Leopoldo Batista might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Luís Porto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leopoldo Batista ran back to his position shaking his head. When Acaa's Felippe Freire in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A very good chance for a goal. Moisés Botelho's late challenge caught a Ipiranga Petroleo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moisés Botelho helped the player get up and apologised. Moisés Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute of the match Basílio Sena sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudinho Coelho skillfully saved the ball. If Leopoldo Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute Felippe Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilberto Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
