An unexpectedly hard shot by Ademir Carioca in the 5th minute of play forced Boreby FC's goalkeeper Erivaldo da Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Umberto Bertassi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcos de Toledo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Erivaldo da Silva when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raimundo Nunes during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Raimundo Nunes hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Raimundo Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílton Fernandez having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Boreby FC's zone, Marcos de Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erivaldo da Silva came out of the goal and Marcos de Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ademir Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amílton Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Nunes in the 25th minute of play. If Marcos de Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Boreby FC's Erivaldo da Silva got control of the ball when Marcos de Toledo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Pinhao FC booed when Boreby FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Erivaldo da Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ademir Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Boreby FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Luís Arósio hit a great ball. Amílton Fernandez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horácio Martins in the 57th minute. Pinhao FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Raimundo Nunes scored to the left of an out of position Amílton Fernandez, making the score, 0-1. If Horácio Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raimundo Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amílton Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Nunes in the 69th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Pinhao FC's goalkeeper Amílton Fernandez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Arósio. In the 83rd minute Raimundo Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílton Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Nunes in the 86th minute of play forced Pinhao FC's goalkeeper Amílton Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes in the game, Raimundo Nunes dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After 90 minutes of play, Boreby FC's Horácio Martins made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amílton Fernandez was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Boreby FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
