Ituiutaba EC's Pedrão Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guto Moraes in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Wilton Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Pedrão Cunha took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Isaltino Seco to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Arantes in the 41st minute of play forced Ituiutaba EC's goalkeeper Pedrão Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isaltino Seco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrão Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Pedrão Mesquita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guto Moraes in the 46th minute of play. If Pedrão Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. After 53 played minutes Murutuba SC got a freekick which was hit by Marco de Sena. Ituiutaba EC's Pedrão Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Murutuba SC's zone, Pedrão Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaltino Seco came out of the goal and Pedrão Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedrão Cunha struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Isaltino Seco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ituiutaba EC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enrique Arantes in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedrão Mesquita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ituiutaba EC's Pedrão Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Pedrão Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Pedrão Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 81 minutes, Marco de Sena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Murutuba SC and the Ituiutaba EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st match minute, Murutuba SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco de Sena to maneuver through the defense. Teodoro Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match.
