Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Victor Fernandez kicked off to start the match. 7 minutes into the game, Richard Camargo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Campelo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ajaru Football Club the free kick. If Jerônimo Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ajaru Football Club booed when Campelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Fernando Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sérgio Mesquita came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Ajaru Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sérgio Mesquita couldn't finish the play. In the 13th minute, Sérgio Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Ajaru Football Club defense, Victor Fernandez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frank Queiroz. The Ajaru Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frank Queiroz should have stopped the shot. In the 22nd minute, Silas Branco fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Jerônimo Melo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patrick Ramos having to make a save. In the 25th match minute, Campelo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Camargo to maneuver through the defense. Alan de Senna came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Patrick Ramos could save by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Délio de Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ajaru Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Délio de Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick Ramos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Silas Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Ramos having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Jerônimo Melo made a precise shot to the right of Patrick Ramos. Campelo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Jerônimo Melos short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Patrick Ramos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Alan de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Délio de Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Délio de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Patrick Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Ajaru Football Club's Alan de Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Campelo's zone, Jerônimo Melo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick Ramos came out of the goal and Jerônimo Melo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th match minute, Campelo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Fernando Gomes to maneuver through the defense. If Jerônimo Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alan de Senna struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Patrick Ramos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ajaru Football Club. Délio de Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 76 minutes, Délio de Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ajaru Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Délio de Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Délio de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Ramos having to interfere. Patrick Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Délio de Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. When Victor Fernandez fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Campelo's protests and gave Victor Fernandez a yellow card for diving instead. Despite being the better team, Ajaru Football Club failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
