But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Santana couldn't finish the play. Bebeto Sergipano's late challenge caught a Litoral EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bebeto Sergipano helped the player get up and apologised. Bebeto Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Jarbas de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Santana in the 16th minute of play. Jarbas de Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antônio Godoi in the 21st minute. Passaro Flamejante FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Felipe Santana scored to the left of an out of position Jarbas de Moraes, making the score, 1-0. Régis Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Luiz Paulo Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, Felipe Santana lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Jarbas de Moraes. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Passaro Flamejante FC's goalkeeper Jarbas de Moraes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Régis Pombal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jarbas de Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafa Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anselmo Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Paulo Santana having to interfere. Anselmo Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Passaro Flamejante FC booed when Litoral EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Litoral EC's Luiz Paulo Santana got control of the ball when Anselmo Lucas tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Rafa Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felipe Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Jarbas de Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jarbas de Moraes came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Litoral EC's Felipe Santana. But to his dismay, Felipe Santana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Antônio Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Litoral EC's Antônio Godoi got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Antônio Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Felipe Santana notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Passaro Flamejante FC's Jarbas de Moraes. Jarbas de Moraes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Litoral EC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
