In the 16th minute Bernardinho Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dé Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 played minutes Cascatinha FZ got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Esteves. Dedê Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Canhoba's Dedê Medeiros got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victor Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Guilherme Cearense having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Victor Medeiros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Guilherme Cearense was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Dedê Medeiros sped through Cascatinha FZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dé Linares. Victor Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Guilherme Cearense having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dedê Medeiros in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dé Linares saved Cascatinha FZ from getting behind. Dedê Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dé Linares having to interfere. In the 38th minute Victor Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Guilherme Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emílio Moraes hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Victor Medeiros sped through Canhoba's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luiz Guilherme Cearense. Cascatinha FZ's Dé Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardinho Guerra in the 44th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Ernesto Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Guilherme Batista hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Victor Medeiros put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Luiz Guilherme Cearense. Luiz Guilherme Cearense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Prestes's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Marcelo Prestes scored 3-2 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luiz Guilherme Cearense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 65th minute, Marcelo Prestes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Dedê Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Canhoba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dedê Medeiros couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Medeiros in the 71st minute of play forced Canhoba's goalkeeper Luiz Guilherme Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 minutes, Bernardinho Guerra made it 3-3 with a short kick to the right side. Cascatinha FZ's Dé Linares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. During the 95th minute of the match Luiz Guilherme Batista completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Luiz Guilherme Batista a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Canhoba walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
