Manaparu AD's Raphael Recife played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Velloso in the 6th minute of play. Raphael Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delfim Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luisinho Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Raphael Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Delfim Faria in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raphael Recife saved Manaparu AD from getting behind. After having played for 20 minutes, Luisinho Velloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marcondes SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisinho Velloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Luisinho Velloso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raphael Recife was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. If Delfim Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Delfim Faria sped through Manaparu AD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Raphael Recife. After 31 minutes, Túlio Arantes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marcondes SC and the Manaparu AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Túlio Arantes kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manfredo Xavier during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Manfredo Xavier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Delfim Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th match minute, Manaparu AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thiago Freitas to maneuver through the defense. If Luisinho Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 minutes of play, Marcondes SC's Amadeu Negri made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raphael Recife was left in no man's land by his defense there! Delfim Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael Recife having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Delfim Faria to strike the kick off in the second half. Manfredo Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Cláudio Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 59 minutes, Delfim Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marcondes SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delfim Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luisinho Velloso struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Raphael Recife didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marcondes SC. In the 66th minute, Delfim Faria fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Raphael Recife, passed just outside the right post. Luisinho Velloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Marcondes SC's Luisinho Velloso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raphael Recife narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Delfim Faria succeeded in the game's 73rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. In the 78th minute, Delfim Faria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raphael Recife was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Luisinho Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Manaparu AD's Raphael Recife got control of the ball when Luisinho Velloso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Delfim Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael Recife having to interfere. A collision led to Manaparu AD getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ernani Sena hit a great ball. Marcondes SC played a much better game than Manaparu AD and deserved their victory. The Manaparu AD players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
