If Nelsinho Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute, Simjon Ferber fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Olívio Alcântara, passed just outside the right post. Olívio Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simjon Ferber, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Simjon Ferber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Olavo Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simjon Ferber in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. Claudinei Mineiro didn't quite understand what happened when in the 41 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Olívio Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simjon Ferber, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes into the game, Diego Diniz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sport Club Do Porto's Simjon Ferber got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Gualter Favoretto made a precise shot to the right of Costa Thees. Sport Club Do Porto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After having played for 76 minutes, Luiz Fernando de Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barros EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Fernando de Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Barros EC's goal looked a bit too open when Simjon Ferber came free, but Olívio Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barros EC's Olívio Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Pena in the 86th minute of play. After some careless play in the Barros EC defense, Simjon Ferber kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olívio Alcântara. The Barros EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olívio Alcântara should have stopped the shot. The long shot by José Paulo Cosme in the 94th minute really tested Costa Thees's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sport Club Do Porto had played much better football throughout.
