Flavinho Arósio started the match with the kick off. Dráuzio Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavinho Arósio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavinho Arósio in the 13th minute of play forced Yauarete AD's goalkeeper Dráuzio Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cléber Senna hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Caria SC's Samuca Vander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex de Almeida in the 18th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Yauarete AD's zone, Germano Quintal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dráuzio Barros came out of the goal and Germano Quintal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the match, Yauarete AD's goal looked a bit too open when Flavinho Arósio came free, but Dráuzio Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Germano Quintal got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Cléber Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Dráuzio Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavinho Arósio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráuzio Barros having to interfere. Germano Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Dráuzio Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diego Rossi made a kick off. Cléber Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duarte Baptista in the 52nd minute of play forced Caria SC's goalkeeper Samuca Vander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Germano Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Flavinho Arósio came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Caria SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavinho Arósio couldn't finish the play. Mário Paraíba charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mário Paraíba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd minute, Mário Paraíba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuca Vander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Rossi in the 64th minute of the match. Caria SC's Flavinho Arósio got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 82 minutes into the match, Diego Rossi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Samuca Vander, 0-1. Mário Paraíba hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After having played for 89 minutes, Diego Rossi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yauarete AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Rossi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alex de Almeida's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Samuca Vander skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Yauarete AD eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
