When Luciano Furtado fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored São Bento Sorocaba's protests and gave Luciano Furtado a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th minute, Luciano Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elói Paes scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Célio Ceresso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mazinho Ribeiro in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Monteiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Célio Ceresso made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Elói Paes sent off a good shot on target. Zézinho Nunes scored 2-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Célio Ceresso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute, Zézinho Nunes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Célio Ceresso. The goal made the score 3-0. Daniel Monteiro came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by milan's Mazinho Ribeiro. But to his dismay, Mazinho Ribeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Mazinho Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Daniel Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kauan Sampaio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Célio Ceresso came out and tried to block the shot, but Kauan Sampaio slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mazinho Ribeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Vladimir Siqueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Célio Ceresso was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Edinho Freire hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 59 minutes, Lino Reis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the milan and the São Bento Sorocaba players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mazinho Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Daniel Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute Mazinho Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Giovani Galvão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. São Bento Sorocaba's Daniel Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mazinho Ribeiro in the 84th minute of play. Elói Paes took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Célio Ceresso. Célio Ceresso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Edinho Freire's late challenge caught a São Bento Sorocaba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edinho Freire helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute, Edinho Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. milan's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
