Mané Alcântara might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ramón Cabral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mané Alcântara ran back to his position shaking his head. Tabua FC's Ramón Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubinho Massa in the 9th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Rubinho Massa notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Tabua FC's Ramón Cabral. Ramón Cabral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Silvério Toscano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramón Cabral made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Rubinho Massa sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th minute, Itapicuma AD's Mané Alcântara ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ramón Cabral. Ramón Cabral yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Tabua FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Mané Alcântara scored to the left of an out of position Ramón Cabral, making the score, 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Rubinho Massa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itapicuma AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Rubinho Massa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramón Cabral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rubinho Massa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Ramón Cabral when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tabua FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Rubinho Massa scored to the left of an out of position Ramón Cabral, making the score, 4-1. When Rubinho Massa came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Itapicuma AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rubinho Massa couldn't finish the play. Serginho Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Itapicuma AD's Silvério Toscano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Rubinho Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rubinho Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramón Cabral having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juarês da Cunha was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Itapicuma AD's Rubinho Massa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ramón Cabral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mané Alcântara in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramón Cabral saved Tabua FC from getting behind. When Conrado Monteiro fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tabua FC's protests and gave Conrado Monteiro a yellow card for diving instead. Conrado Monteiro hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rubinho Massa in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramón Cabral saved Tabua FC from getting behind. Ramón Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubinho Massa, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Rubinho Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
