Anísio Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Mateus Proença managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Arsenal's Samuca Silva fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Juarês Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateus Proença having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anísio Hermes made a kick off. If Juarês Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute.
