Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Franklin da Fonseca in the 2nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horácio Couto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The attack was good, but when Anísio do Valle in the 8th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After a defensive mix-up in Jamandua's zone, Franklin da Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horácio Couto came out of the goal and Franklin da Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hílton Pernambucano during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Aruaru:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Jamandua:s goal. In the 20th minute of the match Baltazar Tepedino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chiquinho Almeida skillfully saved the ball. In the 24th match minute, Aruaru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guga Moreira to maneuver through the defense. Guga Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Valdir Torres hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Nilson de Carvalho struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Horácio Couto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aruaru. In the 42nd minute, Falcão Félix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute, Hernani Perez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chiquinho Almeida was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jamandua's goalkeeper Horácio Couto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arthur Brasil in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horácio Couto saved Jamandua from getting behind. After 66 minutes Jamandua's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hílton Pernambucano who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Hílton Pernambucano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Horácio Couto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Chiquinho Almeida successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee felt a red card was in order, 77 minutes into the game, when Hílton Pernambucano put in a rough tackle. In the 76th minute, one of Aruaru:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Aruaru. Chiquinho Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anísio do Valle in the 84th minute of the match. Aruaru's Arthur Brasil got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdir Torres during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 96 played minutes Jamandua got a freekick which was hit by Valdir Torres. Arthur Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Jamandua had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
