Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Denílson Barreto kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nacho Scocco in the 3rd minute of play forced Iucai's goalkeeper Robinho Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamim de Alcântara hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. When Nacho Scocco came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Lajedo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nacho Scocco couldn't finish the play. Chiquinho de Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Robinho Dias made a huge save. After 13 minutes of play, Iucai's Benjamim de Alcântara made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walmir Alcântara was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Nacho Scocco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Robinho Dias. That made the score 1-1 in the 18 minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Chiquinho de Barros got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Wilian Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Joélson Cerezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nacho Scocco might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robinho Dias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nacho Scocco ran back to his position shaking his head. Chiquinho de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Robinho Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dito Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nacho Scocco in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robinho Dias saved Iucai from getting behind. Lajedo FC's Nacho Scocco got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wilian Ferraz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Wilian Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, Lajedo FC's goalkeeper Walmir Alcântara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamim de Alcântara. Dito Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Dias having to interfere. Dito Sarmento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robinho Dias having to make a save. If Dito Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dênis Arantes during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 68th minute, Dênis Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 minutes Iucai's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cristóvão Salgado who took care of the corner kick. Cristóvão Salgado made a great header on Lajedo FC's corner, it was just that Iucai's Robinho Dias managed to reach the ball for a save. Iucai's Robinho Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilian Ferraz in the 76th minute of play. Dito Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Dias having to interfere. Wilian Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Robinho Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robinho Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilian Ferraz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Wilian Ferraz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Lajedo FC had played much better football throughout.
