Spectators: 7297 (Terracing: 5474, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 145) Corinthians's Bruninho Soeiro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 minutes, Edvaldo de Souza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corinthians and the Pimenteiras FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 6 played minutes Corinthians got a freekick which was hit by Edvaldo de Souza. Fabiano Reis didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Pimenteiras FC's Alberto Lawrence shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Samuel Paulista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corinthians's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuel Paulista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Melo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes into the match, Pimenteiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto Mattos came free, but Joaquim Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquim Melo came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Corinthians's Bruninho Soeiro. But to his dismay, Bruninho Soeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Corinthians getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Waldir Perez hit a great ball. Alberto Lawrence struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Fabiano Reis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pimenteiras FC. In the 27th minute, Alberto Lawrence reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fabiano Reis. The goal made the score 2-1. The supporters of Corinthians booed when Pimenteiras FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernandinho Saldanha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute of the match, Alberto Lawrence tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fabiano Reis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Corinthians's Fabiano Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernandinho Saldanha in the 35th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Dagoberto Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Lawrences short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Fabiano Reis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Corinthians getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Edvaldo de Souza hit a great ball. Otávio Paraíba missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 40 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Fabiano Reis right hand side. Alberto Lawrence's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabiano Reis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Alberto Lawrence made the kick off in the second half. In the 51stth minute of the game Alberto Lawrence who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corinthians's Fabiano Reis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 53rd minute Alberto Lawrence shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Alberto Lawrence sped through Corinthians's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fabiano Reis. After 59 played minutes Corinthians got a freekick which was hit by Edvaldo de Souza. Nilson Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Fabiano Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruninho Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Melo having to interfere. After 70 minutes of play, Corinthians's Samuel Paulista made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquim Melo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alberto Lawrence fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Reis having to interfere. 77 minutes into the game, Celso Tróia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pimenteiras FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corinthians the free kick. A collision led to Pimenteiras FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Celso Tróia hit a great ball. Waldir Perez might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquim Melo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Waldir Perez ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 82 minutes, Alberto Lawrence managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pimenteiras FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Lawrence was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute of the match Celso Tróia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabiano Reis skillfully saved the ball. Dagoberto Mattos's late challenge caught a Pimenteiras FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dagoberto Mattos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Corinthians getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Dagoberto Mattos hit a great ball. Samuel Paulista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Joaquim Melo made a huge save. Samuel Paulista succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-3 in the 91st playminute. Wilton Peixoto hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After 96 played minutes, Pimenteiras FC's Edward Cichocki shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabiano Reis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pimenteiras FC reached it. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
