Elano Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeu Cunha having to interfere. Ramiro Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafim Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Lagoinas's Mané Mesquita got a free kick in the 16th minute. After 17 played minutes, Vitória Petcheza SC's Oséas Mendes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ramiro Aguiar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vitória Petcheza SC reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Carlos Gaúcho got free with Ramiro Aguiar in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Serafim Lopes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ramiro Aguiar came out and tried to block the shot, but Serafim Lopes slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 20th minute. Vitória Petcheza SC's Tadeu Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Diniz in the 25th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vitória Petcheza SC's Luís Paulo Madureira got a free kick in the 26th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Vitória Petcheza SC's goal looked a bit too open when Elano Lopez came free, but Tadeu Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 played minutes Vitória Petcheza SC got a freekick which was hit by Oséas Mendes. Tadeu Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elano Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Jonathan Diniz shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After a rather tough play, Lagoinas's Rony Trancoso got a free kick in the 44th minute. The long shot by Luís Paulo Madureira in the 45th minute really tested Ramiro Aguiar's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Serafim Lopes to strike the kick off in the second half. If João Carlos Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Diniz struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Tadeu Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lagoinas. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Rony Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lagoinas's supporters rose to their feet, but Rony Trancoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadeu Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Lino Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 64th minute, Lagoinas's Mané Mesquita seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mané Mesquita the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Lagoinas protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mané Mesquita had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, João Carlos Gaúcho put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ramiro Aguiar. Vitória Petcheza SC's Tadeu Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Nóbrega in the 78th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Vitória Petcheza SC's goal looked a bit too open when Rony Trancoso came free, but Tadeu Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Jonathan Diniz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tadeu Cunha was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Lagoinas's Ramiro Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luiz Silveira in the 88th minute of play. After 91 played minutes Vitória Petcheza SC got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Rios. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vitória Petcheza SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lagoinas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
