The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cássio Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltazar das Neves in the 3rd minute of the match. FC Internazionale Milano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. If Álvaro Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jefferson Dantas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aloísio Netto came out and tried to block the shot, but Jefferson Dantas slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 28th minute. Aloísio Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Rossi in the 32nd minute of the match. When Ouricana's Ricardinho Rossi in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Internazionale Milano's goalie prevented a goal. Yuri Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltazar das Neves in the 40th minute of play forced Ouricana's goalkeeper Cássio Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aloísio Netto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardinho Rossi's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Yuri Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ricardinho Rossi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Rossi in the 52nd minute of play forced FC Internazionale Milano's goalkeeper Aloísio Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aloísio Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yuri Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. If Baltazar das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cássio Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar das Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Yuri Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Ouricana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yuri Fonseca couldn't finish the play. After 84 played minutes FC Internazionale Milano got a freekick which was hit by Dida Fernandes. Aloísio Netto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricardinho Rossi went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. If Yuri Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ouricana walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
