Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Faustão de Queirós started the match with the kick off. Arthur Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 8 played minutes Esteira got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Lucas. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jânio Simão during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee gave Jaragua FC a penalty, 11 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Wilton de Lima, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Esteira's Clóvis Arce. 1-0. Eriberto Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eurico Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Walmyr de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Arthur Lucas notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Jaragua FC's Eriberto Braga. Eriberto Braga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Esteira's Clóvis Arce got control of the ball when Benê Furlan tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Jaragua FC's zone, Eurico Velasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto Braga came out of the goal and Eurico Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sydney Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The corner led Esteira's Jânio Simão to fire away a dangerous shot which Eriberto Braga despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arthur Lucas was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Jaragua FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano Souto to maneuver through the defense. 54 minutes into the game, Duarte Valadares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esteira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jaragua FC the free kick. In the 54th match minute, Esteira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duarte Valadares to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute Faustão de Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clóvis Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Jaragua FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arthur Lucas came free, but Eriberto Braga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esteira's Clóvis Arce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustão de Queirós in the 62nd minute of play. In the 66th minute, Duarte Valadares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clóvis Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustão de Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Faustão de Queirós in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clóvis Arce saved Esteira from getting behind. Esteira's Clóvis Arce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustão de Queirós in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Eurico Velasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 76 minutes into the game, Walmyr de Lara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jaragua FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esteira the free kick. After a rather tough play, Jaragua FC's Walmyr de Lara got a free kick in the 76th minute. If Faustão de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eurico Velasco took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eriberto Braga. Eriberto Braga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Clóvis Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benê Furlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute, Faustão de Queirós left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jaragua FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Esteira's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
