With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sílvio Castro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcus Batista's late challenge caught a São Paulo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcus Batista helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Unidos de SSGRAMA FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Marcus Batista hit a great ball. Raimundo de Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Sílvio Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luisão Lima made a kick off. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Unidos de SSGRAMA FC fully deserved thier win.
