Spectators: 7217 (Terracing: 5414, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) SC Godinez's Zé Roberto Toledo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rubinho Munhoz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 4 minutes into the match, Minas FC's goalkeeper Rubinho Munhoz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Roberto Toledo. In the 5th minute Fabrício Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute Cássio Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th minute, Elder Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 9 in the game by Zé Roberto Toledo from a close distance when the talented Rubinho Munhoz managed to make a qualified save. Minas FC's players were relieved. In the 11th match minute, Minas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Souto to maneuver through the defense. SC Godinez's Zé Roberto Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nelsinho Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Souto in the 18th minute of the match. Nelsinho Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Tepedino in the 26th minute of play. Elder Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. SC Godinez's Nelsinho Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Tepedino in the 29th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Jonathan Souza took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Rubinho Munhoz to make any attempt to save it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cássio Machado was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, SC Godinez's goalkeeper Nelsinho Arósio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luciano Souto. Cássio Machado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nelsinho Arósio came out and tried to block the shot, but Cássio Machado slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 60th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Zé Roberto Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Godinez's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Roberto Toledo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rubinho Munhoz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SC Godinez's Nelsinho Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Machado in the 66th minute of play. When Luciano Souto fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Minas FC's protests and gave Luciano Souto a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Minas FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Luciano Souto hit a great ball. When SC Godinez's Zé Roberto Toledo in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Minas FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 71st minute, Elder Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the game, Fabrício Monteiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nelsinho Arósio. Fabrício Monteiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Rubinho Munhoz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Roberto Toledo's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Nelsinho Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the match, Minas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Souza came free, but Rubinho Munhoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelsinho Arósio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cássio Machado in the 88th minute. After 90 played minutes SC Godinez got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Marques. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Roberto Toledo in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rubinho Munhoz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Minas FC played a much better game than SC Godinez and deserved their victory. The SC Godinez players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
