In the 3rd match minute, Flacandói F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. Vitinho Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. When Flacandói F. Cacá Lucas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vitinho Senna. Clovis's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlando Ortiz in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vitinho Senna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Clovis's zone, Orlando Ortiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitinho Senna came out of the goal and Orlando Ortiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Severino Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flacandói F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitinho Senna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th minute Sidnei Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Hortêncio Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flacandói F. C.'s protests and gave Hortêncio Silveira a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes Flacandói F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Hortêncio Silveira. After having played for 28 minutes, Zé Carlos Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clovis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Carlos Velasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 35 minutes, Vito Silveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clovis and the Flacandói F. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Clovis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vito Silveira to maneuver through the defense. André Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidnei Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flacandói F. C.'s Sérgio Peres got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Orlando Ortiz to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Clovis getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Dionísio Carioca hit a great ball. Victor Pereira hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Dudu Secco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Vitinho Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vitinho Senna made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Orlando Ortiz sent off a good shot on target. Orlando Ortizs short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Vitinho Senna to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Clovis's Victor Pereira got his second yellow card of the match in the 63rd minute. The referee ordered Victor Pereira off the ground. A collision led to Clovis getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Victor Pereira hit a great ball. Vitinho Senna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orlando Ortiz in the 67th minute. André Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionísio Carioca in the 68th minute of play. Dionísio Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. André Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Ortiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vitinho Senna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orlando Ortiz ran back to his position shaking his head. Clovis's Sidnei Figueiredo has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 72nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlando Ortiz in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. C. were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Clovis's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cacá Lucas took the corner. The corner led Flacandói F. C.'s Cacá Lucas to fire away a dangerous shot which Vitinho Senna despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Flacandói F. C.'s André Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dionísio Carioca in the 83rd minute of play. With his leg Vitinho Senna managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Flacandói F. C.'s Orlando Ortiz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Vitinho Senna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cesinha de Queirós in the 90th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Clovis's goalkeeper Vitinho Senna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orlando Ortiz. Orlando Ortiz in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vitinho Senna, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 95th minute, Sérgio Peres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vitinho Senna was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Flacandói F. C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
