Spectators: 7135 (Terracing: 5353, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 141) Izzy F C's Mazinho Motta started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 11 minutes into the match, Izzy F C's goal looked a bit too open when Aloísio Bueno came free, but Marcinho Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Fabiano Paulista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute, Luís Fabiano Paulista left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Izzy F C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Oséias Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mazinho Motta in the 23rd minute of play. If Tomé de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th match minute, Izzy F C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrianinho Quadros to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mazinho Motta in the 29th minute of play forced Luverdense Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Oséias Messias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aloísio Bueno in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcinho Cordeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aloísio Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th match minute, Izzy F C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio Quintal to maneuver through the defense. Izzy F C's Marcinho Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Ortiz in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute Aloísio Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcinho Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aloísio Bueno to make the kick off. Izzy F C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Leopoldo Trigo scored to the left of an out of position Marcinho Cordeiro, making the score, 1-1. The referee felt a red card was in order, 71 minutes into the game, when Zeca Lira put in a rough tackle. Zeca Lira hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, Aloísio Bueno made a precise shot to the right of Marcinho Cordeiro. Izzy F C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Marcinho Cordeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aloísio Bueno's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Tomé de Alcântara's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marcinho Cordeiro firmly grabbed it by the left post. Zé dos Santos hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Aloísio Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcinho Cordeiro having to interfere.
