The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Florinea EC booed when Seco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Paulo Mangueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Douglas Fernandez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luiz Paulo Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilmar Quintal in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Fernando Veiga in the 19th minute of play forced Florinea EC's goalkeeper Dráuzio Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Paulo Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silas Bueno in the 21st minute of the match. Luiz Paulo Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silas Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Douglas Fernandez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luiz Paulo Baptista having to make a save. Luiz Paulo Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silas Bueno in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silas Bueno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Ruben Keller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Paulo Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubinho Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Luiz Paulo Baptista didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silas Bueno went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Luiz Paulo Baptista didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silas Bueno went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. 93 minutes into the match, Gonçalo Pirani notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Seco's Luiz Paulo Baptista. Luiz Paulo Baptista was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the Florinea EC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
