In the 5th minute Deivid Pirani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. César de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Frank de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 12th play minutes César de Alcântara shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Frank de Amaral and just under the crossbar into goal. When Manimbu SS's Edmílson Couto in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frank de Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th minute, César de Alcântara reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Frank de Amaral. The goal made the score 2-0. 40 minutes into the match, Manimbu SS's Edmílson Couto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frank de Amaral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edmílson Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Frank de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Digo do Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Messias having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Digo do Valle made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by César de Alcântara in the 52nd minute of play forced Gurijuba's goalkeeper Frank de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Narciso Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 60 minutes, César de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manimbu SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but César de Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If César de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gurijuba's Frank de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juninho de Queiroz in the 71st minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Manimbu SS players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
