Clóvis Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jailson Vergílios short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Abel Arce to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Marcus Queirós took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fred Lima. Fred Lima dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jailson Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Abel Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Yan Tepedino reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Abel Arce. The goal made the score 1-1. Piraputanga SS's Abel Arce proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Piraputanga SS from getting a goal against them. Aílton Massa charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aílton Massa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th minute, Fiori Catarinense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jailson Vergílio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Walmir Costa hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, Piraputanga SS's goalkeeper Abel Arce had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jailson Vergílio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Queirós in the 34th minute of play forced Conquistense's goalkeeper Fred Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fred Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fiori Catarinense's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. A collision led to Conquistense getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Aílton Massa hit a great ball. Aílton Massa was shown his second yellow card after 38 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 38 played minutes Conquistense got a freekick which was hit by Aílton Massa. In the 41st minute, Adilson Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anderson Fernandes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 42nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 46 minutes, Anderson Fernandes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Piraputanga SS and the Conquistense players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, one of Piraputanga SS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Piraputanga SS. The referee gave Conquistense a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tostão Ramalho, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Piraputanga SS's Abel Arce. 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jailson Vergílio made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Jailson Vergílio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Abel Arce was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 58th minute, Jailson Vergílio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Arce was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Marcus Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piraputanga SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcus Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fred Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abel Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jailson Vergílio, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Fiori Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Fred Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jailson Vergílio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yan Tepedino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abel Arce having to make a save. Abel Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson Vergílio in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Marcus Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th match minute, Conquistense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adilson Lara to maneuver through the defense. Fred Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fiori Catarinense's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Fred Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fiori Catarinense in the 77th minute of play. If Jailson Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conquistense's Fred Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Queirós in the 89th minute of play. Fred Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fiori Catarinense in the 96th minute of the match.
