Augusto Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Moreno in the 17th minute of play. If Luís Fernando Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amauri Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilmar Lopez in the 21st minute of play. Alex Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Quirino having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Delfina's zone, Alex Moreno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Quirino came out of the goal and Alex Moreno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evandro Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Augusto Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alex Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Delfina's zone, Evandro Loyola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Quirino came out of the goal and Evandro Loyola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evandro Loyola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Quirino having to interfere. If Evandro Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Gilmar Lopez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Augusto Quirino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evandro Loyola went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Peneiras AD's goalkeeper Amauri Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amauri Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilmar Lopez in the 64th minute of play. Luís Fernando Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute, Marcel Goiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alex Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Delfina's Cléber Barreto got a free kick in the 74th minute. When Alex Moreno came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Peneiras AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Moreno couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute Evandro Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evandro Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Augusto Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusébio Koehler hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Peneiras AD's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
