Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cauipe SC's Leonel Torres started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Juarês Pena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itakami RJ FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 9th minute Jacinto Peres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th match minute, Itakami RJ FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juarês Pena to maneuver through the defense. Itakami RJ FC's Basílio Jacinto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Itakami RJ FC from getting a goal against them. Frank Varela's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basílio Jacinto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Albano Iyan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Basílio Jacinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Frank Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albano Iyan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Jacinto having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Leonel Torres fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Albano Iyan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Cauipe SC's Frédson de Amaral got a free kick in the 38th minute. After having played for 40 minutes, Jacinto Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itakami RJ FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Peres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Albano Iyan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Jacinto having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juarês Pena to make the kick off. After 54 minutes of play, Cauipe SC's Celso Duarte made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basílio Jacinto was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 60th minute Albano Iyan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basílio Jacinto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonel Torres went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After 68 minutes of play, Cauipe SC's Frank Varela made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basílio Jacinto was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Albano Iyan came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Cauipe SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albano Iyan couldn't finish the play. Frank Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Cauipe SC booed when Itakami RJ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo da Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 80 minutes of play, Cauipe SC's Albano Iyan made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basílio Jacinto was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 90thth minute of the game Leonel Torres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itakami RJ FC's Basílio Jacinto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Juarês Pena came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Itakami RJ FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juarês Pena couldn't finish the play. 94 minutes into the match, Itakami RJ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Albano Iyan came free, but Basílio Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cauipe SC's Cipriano Sabóia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Cauipe SC from getting a goal against them.
