Zé Roberto Zanette came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Centro Sports Alvorada's Júlio Luz. But to his dismay, Júlio Luz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Zé Roberto Zanette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Vale in the 36th minute of play. With a little luck, Centro Sports Alvorada's Célio Penha got control of the ball when Murilo Ceresso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Júlio Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Roberto Zanette showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. When Cafu de Senna fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Red Bull FC's protests and gave Cafu de Senna a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th match minute, Red Bull FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cafu de Senna to maneuver through the defense.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fábio Trancoso made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Red Bull FC got a freekick which was hit by Murilo Ceresso. When Centro Sports Alvorada's Júlio Luz in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. João Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, João Vale put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Zé Roberto Zanette. When Nicolas de Brito fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Red Bull FC's protests and gave Nicolas de Brito a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th match minute, Red Bull FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas de Brito to maneuver through the defense. When João Vale came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Centro Sports Alvorada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Vale couldn't finish the play. Zé Roberto Zanette made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when João Vale sent off a good shot on target. In the 95th minute, Júlio Luz fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Red Bull FC's Zé Roberto Zanette proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Red Bull FC from getting a goal against them.
