Felipe Aparecido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Cruzalia's Nestor Cruz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Francisco Sena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Guapiassu's Magno Gomes got a free kick in the 26th minute. A hard shot 28 in the game by Richard Paraíba from a close distance when the talented Carlos Silva managed to make a qualified save. Cruzalia's players were relieved. Carlos Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Aparecido, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Nestor Cruz might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Francisco Sena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nestor Cruz ran back to his position shaking his head. Raúl Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Francisco Sena having to interfere. Richard Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Richard Paraíba struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Carlos Silva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guapiassu. The audience was convinced that Felipe Aparecido's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Silva was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Felipe Aparecido made a kick off. Raúl Cavalcante struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. João Francisco Sena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cruzalia. When Felipe Aparecido came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Guapiassu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Aparecido couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Cruzalia defense, Richard Paraíba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Silva. The Cruzalia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Silva should have stopped the shot. Felipe Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Silva having to interfere. Richard Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
