Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sílvio Soeiro kicked off to start the match. Abelardo Faria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sílvio Soeiro's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute Nelsinho Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Deivid Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Sodre SS's goalkeeper Deivid Cruz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruninho Passos. When Nuno Magalhães fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yaurare AD's protests and gave Nuno Magalhães a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Yaurare AD's Nuno Magalhães got a free kick in the 19th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Nelsinho Guimarães recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Deivid Cruz. Nelsinho Guimarães showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Bruninho Passoss short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Deivid Cruz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Yaurare AD booed when Sodre SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Paulo Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Sodre SS getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Délio Tande hit a great ball. In the 39th minute of the match Edinho Simões shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Deivid Cruz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 42nd match minute, Sodre SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedito Leão to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nelsinho Guimarães to make the kick off. Jardel Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, Bruninho Passos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Deivid Cruz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 62 minutes into the match, Yaurare AD's Nelsinho Guimarães sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Deivid Cruz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Abelardo Faria made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Jardel Arruda sent off a good shot on target. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yaurare AD's goalkeeper Abelardo Faria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jardel Arruda got free with Abelardo Faria in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abelardo Faria didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jardel Arruda went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 77th minute, Sodre SS's Edgar Breckenfeld ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Abelardo Faria. Abelardo Faria yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Nelsinho Guimarães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Sílvio Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sodre SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Sílvio Soeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abelardo Faria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jardel Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jardel Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Abelardo Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sodre SS's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
