Faral EC's Olívio Xavier quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Afonso Vander, made in the 18th minute of the game. The long shot by Yan de Carvalho in the 21st minute really tested Charles Porto's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Otávio Oliveira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Charles Porto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 24 minutes, Walmyr Bastos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the são paulo fc and the Faral EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in são paulo fc's zone, Otávio Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charles Porto came out of the goal and Otávio Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Otávio Oliveira to strike the kick off in the second half. Otávio Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Porto having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Beto Moreira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Charles Porto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Marcinho Fantini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ramiro Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Otávio Oliveira struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. A collision led to são paulo fc getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Percy Vides hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiago Gabriel Gaúcho in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charles Porto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Otávio Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charles Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otávio Oliveira in the 79th minute of play. If Eliézer Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 minutes, Lauro Maia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Faral EC and the são paulo fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 86th match minute, Faral EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauro Maia to maneuver through the defense. If Otávio Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 90 played minutes são paulo fc got a freekick which was hit by Celsinho Xavier. Tiago Gabriel Gaúcho scored 3-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charles Porto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
