Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Edgar Vale kicked off to start the match. Edgar Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Carlos Saldanha having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Abare EC's zone, Edgar Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Carlos Saldanha came out of the goal and Edgar Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Abare EC's José Carlos Saldanha got control of the ball when Joélson Secco tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Abare EC's Cristian Brito got a free kick in the 12th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, José Carlos Saldanha successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Abare EC booed when Arikemes AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermínio Félix didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Arikemes AD getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Chiquinho Secco hit a great ball. Válbson Fonseca took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wilton Paraibano. Arikemes AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Joélson Secco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but José Carlos Saldanha made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgar Vale in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Carlos Saldanha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an all-out effort, Arikemes AD's José Carlos Saldanha threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edgar Vale, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Edgar Vale came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Arikemes AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Vale couldn't finish the play. If Joélson Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd match minute, Abare EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Brito to maneuver through the defense. Joélson Secco might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Carlos Saldanha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joélson Secco ran back to his position shaking his head. When Edgar Vale came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Arikemes AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Vale couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Cristian Brito made the kick off in the second half. Edgar Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgar Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute Joélson Secco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Carlos Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of Abare EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Arikemes AD:s goal. Arikemes AD's attack was well implemented in the 69th minute, but when Joélson Secco was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Cristian Brito hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. José Carlos Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joélson Secco in the 73rd minute of the match. The supporters of Arikemes AD booed when Abare EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Joélson Secco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Carlos Saldanha. Abare EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joélson Secco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Abare EC's zone, Joélson Secco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Carlos Saldanha came out of the goal and Joélson Secco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Carlos Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Vale in the 89th minute of play. If Edgar Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joélson Secco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Carlos Saldanha having to make a save. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Arikemes AD had played much better football throughout.
