Álvaro Tavares might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredinho Mello. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Álvaro Tavares ran back to his position shaking his head. Alfredinho Mello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44thth minute of the game Álvaro Tavares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atletico De Madrid's Alfredinho Mello was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alfredinho Mello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Álvaro Tavares in the 46th minute of play. After 46 minutes, João Pedro Rodrigues mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atletico De Madrid and the Metallica FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. João Pedro Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Álvaro Tavares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfredinho Mello was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. Pedro Coelho struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Alfredinho Mello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Metallica FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Álvaro Tavares got free with Alfredinho Mello in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Álvaro Tavares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Metallica FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
