The supporters of Estevao FC booed when Acoteia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joélson do Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee ignored Acoteia's protests and gave Breno Tinoco a yellow card for diving instead. Ronaldão Lara struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Pedro Augusto Jacinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estevao FC. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Acoteia's Gernando Toscano got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thomás Teles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rômulo Cerezo's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Ronaldão Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
