Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cristiano Mazza kicked off to start the match. Cristiano Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesinha Melo having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Silva during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Porteira getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Gabriel Silva hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romário de Lara in the 12th minute of play forced Porteira's goalkeeper Aleandro Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Porteira's Cristiano Mazza got a free kick in the 15th minute. When Luiz Fabiano Valladares came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Cariaca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fabiano Valladares couldn't finish the play. Cesinha Melo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cesinha Melo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristiano Mazza showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. If Cristiano Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute Vito das Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleandro Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Fabiano Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Aleandro Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vito das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Cariaca's Cesinha Melo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Cariaca from getting a goal against them. Cesinha Melo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristiano Mazza's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romário de Lara in the 41st minute of play forced Porteira's goalkeeper Aleandro Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 44 played minutes Cariaca got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fabiano Valladares. When Porteira's Cristiano Mazza in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cariaca's goalie prevented a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Leandro Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Aleandro Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Valladares, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Dino Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arlindo Moraes's late challenge caught a Porteira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arlindo Moraes helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Porteira a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Waldemar das Neves, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cariaca's Cesinha Melo. 2-0. In the 70th minute, Dino Loureiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cesinha Melo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 82nd minute Cristiano Mazza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesinha Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dino Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesinha Melo having to interfere. 98 minutes into the game, Luiz Fabiano Valladares recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aleandro Vieira. Luiz Fabiano Valladares showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Porteira's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
