Cruzeiro GV's Carlos Augusto Saraiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Cruzeiro GV from getting a goal against them. Walmir Furtado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Léo Vides in the 15th minute of play forced Real Bandeirantes SC's goalkeeper Sérgio Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geovânio Loureiro during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cruzeiro GV booed when Real Bandeirantes SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovânio Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Cruzeiro GV getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Toninho Guedes hit a great ball. Germano de Moraes hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Léo Vides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Léo Vides came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Cruzeiro GV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Léo Vides couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Léo Vides in the 40th minute of play forced Real Bandeirantes SC's goalkeeper Sérgio Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Léo Vides made a precise shot to the right of Sérgio Nóbrega. Real Bandeirantes SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Sérgio Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmir Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Léo Vides in the 57th minute of play forced Real Bandeirantes SC's goalkeeper Sérgio Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Real Bandeirantes SC's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho Guedes came free, but Sérgio Nóbrega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Real Bandeirantes SC's Gabriel Bertassi got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Léo Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A sloppy throw-in by Albertinho Queirós in the 77th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Cruzeiro GV's Gustavo Motta. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Sérgio Nóbrega successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 80th match minute, Cruzeiro GV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Motta to maneuver through the defense. If Léo Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustavo Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Sérgio Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 87 minutes, Léo Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cruzeiro GV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Léo Vides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 91 played minutes Cruzeiro GV got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Guedes. Carlos Augusto Saraiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovânio Loureiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Walmir Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Walmir Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Sérgio Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cruzeiro GV played a much better game than Real Bandeirantes SC and deserved their victory. The Real Bandeirantes SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
