In the 29th minute Augusto da Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilvan Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 minutes, Douglas Gerber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dream Raft and the Real Madruga players grew even worse after the yellow card. Manoel Xavier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilvan Quadros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. After having played for 39 minutes, Benê Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dream Raft's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benê Quirino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benê Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Pirani having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juninho Quirino made a kick off. If Pedrão Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Celso Pena fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dream Raft's protests and gave Celso Pena a yellow card for diving instead. Celso Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Despite being the better team, Dream Raft failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
