After having played for 34 minutes, Armandinho Arósio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armandinho Arósio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Armandinho Arósio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sauva AD's Matías Mineiro got his second yellow card of the match in the 44th minute. The referee ordered Matías Mineiro off the ground. A collision led to Sauva AD getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Matías Mineiro hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Carim's Manfredo Dante tried to score from far away in the 46th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Dalmo Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton Dante in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Jarbas Eger's late challenge caught a Sauva AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jarbas Eger helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd match minute, Carim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarbas Eger to maneuver through the defense. Carim's Simão Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho de Souza in the 54th minute of play. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sauva AD's goalkeeper Dalmo Linhares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, Sauva AD's goal looked a bit too open when Wilton Dante came free, but Dalmo Linhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dalmo Linhares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armandinho Arósio in the 69th minute. Carim's Armandinho Arósio got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Wilton Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes in the game, Wilton Dante fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dalmo Linhares having to interfere. Dalmo Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton Dante in the 79th minute of play. If Wilton Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 played minutes Sauva AD got a freekick which was hit by Betão Mesquita. After 86 played minutes Sauva AD got a freekick which was hit by Dênis Castro. Dalmo Linhares made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Manfredo Dante sent off a good shot on target. When Armandinho Arósio came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Carim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armandinho Arósio couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute, Manoel Galvão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilton Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Linhares having to interfere. A hard shot 96 in the game by Armandinho Arósio from a close distance when the talented Dalmo Linhares managed to make a qualified save. Sauva AD's players were relieved. When the final whistle sounded Carim left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sauva AD.
