Spectators: 7245 (Terracing: 5469, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Léo Mesquita took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Estrelnha's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Trigo came free, but Nilmar Alagoano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Fernando Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilmar Alagoano having to interfere. Estrelnha's Nilmar Alagoano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fernando Correia in the 8th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Estrelnha's zone, Haroldo Lucas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nilmar Alagoano came out of the goal and Haroldo Lucas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th match minute, Estrelnha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcinho Baptista to maneuver through the defense. Estrelnha's Nilmar Alagoano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Lucas in the 16th minute of play. Luís Fernando Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilmar Alagoano having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Léo Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Estrelnha's supporters rose to their feet, but Léo Mesquita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robinho Mattos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Caranandiua's Haroldo Lucas in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Estrelnha's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Caranandiua's Robinho Mattos got control of the ball when Frederico de Queirós tried to sneak it across the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fernando Correia couldn't finish the play. Luís Fernando Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonardo Romero hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The Estrelnha players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Caranandiua were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Fernando Correia made a kick off. Haroldo Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Nilmar Alagoano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, Estrelnha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Romero to maneuver through the defense. Luís Fernando Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Nilmar Alagoano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Haroldo Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 63 played minutes Estrelnha got a freekick which was hit by Erivaldo Toledo. Adelino Senna, 64 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Nilmar Alagoano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fernando Correia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, Luís Fernando Correia dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nilmar Alagoano, 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Léo Mesquita in the 81st minute of play forced Caranandiua's goalkeeper Robinho Mattos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robinho Mattos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederico de Queirós in the 85th minute of the match. With his leg Nilmar Alagoano managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Caranandiua's Haroldo Lucas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 92nd minute, Haroldo Lucas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Estrelnha's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fernando Correia came free, but Nilmar Alagoano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haroldo Lucas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nilmar Alagoano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play.
