With a left leg Cláudio de Godoy saved Ibuaco EC from getting behind. After 14 played minutes Ibuaco EC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Romero. Didi da Silveira struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Cláudio de Godoy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cepa. 16 minutes into the game, Cepa's Perivaldo Proença nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After some careless play in the Ibuaco EC defense, Perivaldo Proença kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cláudio de Godoy. The Ibuaco EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cláudio de Godoy should have stopped the shot. 61 minutes into the match, Perivaldo Proença notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Ibuaco EC's Cláudio de Godoy. Cláudio de Godoy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 65 minutes, José Carlos Motta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cepa and the Ibuaco EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cepa!
