Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Aníbal Moreira got the match started through his kick off. Murillo Travassos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Jenipapo SC's zone, Lauro Linares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murillo Travassos came out of the goal and Lauro Linares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aníbal Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Canto defense, Rodriguinho Bittencourt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Fernando Severo. The Canto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Fernando Severo should have stopped the shot. Murillo Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Linares in the 20th minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Dorian Pires recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luís Fernando Severo. Dorian Pires showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. José Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fernando Severo having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Canto's goalkeeper Luís Fernando Severo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodriguinho Bittencourt. Rodriguinho Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dorian Pires to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Aníbal Moreira took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Murillo Travassos to make any attempt to save it. Dorian Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fernando Severo having to interfere. Rodriguinho Bittencourt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Jenipapo SC booed when Canto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jano Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jenipapo SC's Rodriguinho Bittencourt got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luís Fernando Severo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovânio Favoretto in the 70th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Geovânio Favoretto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jenipapo SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovânio Favoretto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Fernando Severo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Fernando Severo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorian Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 80th minute, Lauro Linares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Murillo Travassos was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Luís Fernando Severo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodriguinho Bittencourt's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Jenipapo SC's Murillo Travassos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Jenipapo SC from getting a goal against them. Jenipapo SC's Dorian Pires got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jenipapo SC's Rodriguinho Bittencourt got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Canto's Luís Fernando Severo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorian Pires in the 94th minute of play. Aníbal Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murillo Travassos having to interfere.
