Elivélton Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Sydney Leme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Manuel Setúbal fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Macarani's protests and gave Manuel Setúbal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th match minute, Macarani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Setúbal to maneuver through the defense. Philippe Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrício Arósio having to interfere. Elivélton Mendes struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Sydney Leme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Macarani. Sydney Leme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elivélton Mendes in the 23rd minute of the match. 29 minutes into the game, Elivélton Mendes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Sydney Leme was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elivélton Mendes in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sydney Leme saved Striker FC from getting behind. If Philippe Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dráusio Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrício Arósio having to interfere. In the 37thth minute of the game Juan Moura who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Striker FC's Sydney Leme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Moura in the 40th minute of play forced Striker FC's goalkeeper Sydney Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elivélton Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Elivélton Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Striker FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Elivélton Mendes 56 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. Sydney Leme was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Elivélton Mendes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Elivélton Mendes really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. After a defensive mix-up in Striker FC's zone, Elivélton Mendes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sydney Leme came out of the goal and Elivélton Mendes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elivélton Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sydney Leme having to interfere. If Elivélton Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Striker FC's Sydney Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Moura in the 77th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Philippe Coutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Striker FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Philippe Coutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrício Arósio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dráusio Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Striker FC booed when Macarani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gedeon Werger didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Elivélton Mendes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sydney Leme was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. When Macarani's Elivélton Mendes in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
